Notes from Electric Pulp

Your cholesterol is trying to tell you something: get on over to Bluehealth Advantage

bluecrosslogo.jpgBlueCross BlueShield of Nebraska needed a site to act as a central location for health information, interactive tools, campaigns and programs. And since Electric Pulp builds sites that act as things, we knew we’d fit swimmingly.

The new site (Bluehealth Advantage) features a number of helpful health tools aimed at both individuals and employers, but if were picking favorites, we’d say we like the health education section best. Why so, you ask? Well, we learned things like just because certain fast foods taste like they should be good for you doesn’t necessarily mean they are. Take the Chicken Cordon Bleu, for instance. I lived on that thing for a good three years of my life. I now know that the Baked Potato, Plain (with less than half the calories) would have been the way to go. While I would never go through the drivethru of a fine dining establishment and just order a baked potato plain, I might consider a Light Roast Chicken Deluxe, which was only slightly lower on the list and actually does sound rather tasty (maybe that’s just the noon hour talking.) And that could make me healthier.

If that hasn’t sold you on going out to check out the site, I’ll leave you with two final words: discount pedometers.
